Alex has spent more than 15 years helping professionals understand how employers actually think, and using that insight to help them position their experience, tell their story, and move toward the roles they genuinely want. That perspective comes from sitting on both sides of the table: as a Work-Integrated Learning Coordinator at Kwantlen Polytechnic University and a Certified Master of Career Services (CMCS), translating what he sees in hiring rooms and employer partnerships into strategy his clients can actually use.
That approach has been tested at scale. Alex's work in workforce development, employer engagement, and program leadership helped the Melville Business Strategy Internship (MBSI) program earn recognition as the #1 Mitacs internship submission program in the Pacific Region and #5 nationally in Canada. Proof that career strategy built on real employer insight produces results employers actually respond to.
That same insight is the foundation of Brightway Coach: a career coaching and leadership development practice built to give students, early-career professionals, career changers, and emerging leaders the clarity, confidence, and strategy to navigate their next move on their own terms. Alex also mentors through the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade's Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) program, supporting the next generation of professionals in their leadership and career journeys.
